Back from Scotland

Debbie finally returned from Scotland. The response from last weekends workshop was very positive and Debbie is very happy with the results:

“I would like to thank Joan Prieur and Aberdeenshire council for giving me the opportunity to share some of my ideas and thoughts on the development of small children in our sport. It was wonderful to see so many coaches from all over the North East of Scotland working very hard over the two days. I hope that I was able to convey a message that badminton learning is fun from a very early age and as a coach to be opened minded whilst teaching. Our main focus points over the length of the course were basic agility and core body strength, “finger power” with the feeling of the shuttle on the racket plus footwork and underarm rotation. The course was built up from beginner level and on how we can work on developing a players skills and knowledge through the implementation of good coaching ideas and practices.

Thanks once again to all!”
